Jan 7 - Roger Graham - Fire in St. George.  On Sunday morning, Jan 4, there was a fire at one of our CBAC "Atlantic Baptist Housing" (ABH) complexes in St. George.  This was at the Granite Court Apartments.  Please pray for our tenants, staff, the ABH leadership team, and the broader St. George community through the navigation of the many issues of investigation, care and rebuild.  The ABH staff are focused on safety, compassion, transparency, and restoration. The St. George churches and community organizations are pulling together to assist all those impacted, including the Food Bank that had to be re-located due to the fire.

There were 22 tenants who found this very upsetting, but by the Grace of God, there were no injuries or lose of life.  Of course, these elderly tenants needed to be displaced as a result of the incident and immediate care was provided, some of them going with family members. The tenants included: 12 tenants from Phase 1 of Granite Court.  They may be able to return to their apartments by the end of the week. 10 tenants from Phase 2 of Granite Court.  Longer term, compassionate and proper arrangements are being made for their housing.
Please pray for the Grace and Peace of God for the tenants and their families and for wisdom from the Lord for the ABH team as they seek to bring Glory to God through this unfortunate event.

Thank you.

Nov 25 - Judy Chapman.  My nephew’s mother-in-law (GD) has been in hospital since September for complications resulting from a gall bladder surgery.  GD is a liver transplant survivor, but that liver is now not functioning properly and she has been put back on dialysis.  The hope is that, over time, the transplanted liver will return to function properly, but things are uncertain and on a day-to-day basis.  Please remember GD, her husband, and family in prayer.  Thank you.
My longtime close friend DH has been experiencing the vision and arm symptoms typical of mini strokes.  After rigorous testing at the hospital today, tomorrow they will share the results and a medical plan to move forward.  Please pray she will obtain the medical care required and that this situation can be safely addressed.
The husband of my friend GM has been coping with cancer for several years.  A few months ago, the medication keeping the cancer in check stopped working.  They are attempting one last resort medication to arrest the cancer progress, but are uncertain whether or not it will work.  Please pray that the new medication will work and that he will be as well as can be expected.  Also, please pray for comfort and strength for his wife and caregiver.

Aug 21 - From Ann L:  Carla’s story starts back in November of 2024 when her husband Greg was diagnosed with congestive heart failure.  In April of 2025 he was given a clean bill of health by his doctors. However, he passed away unexpectedly last month.  Carla was planning to go back to work in the beginning of September since she is self employed, however, this past May she had a stroke due to a hole in her heart, she just received a call to have the hole in her heart repaired in early September. This means she will be off work until at least mid-October.  Carla and her 2 children are going through one of the hardest times of their life right now and could really use our prayers.

  • Pray For Our Graduates And Those Who Left Our Program.  That they would stay strong in their recovery.  Lord, surround them with support, encouragement, and a community that uplifts them.
JUL 4 - Elizabeth in NS (from Carol Flower).  Here is the latest update from Carol's nephew:  "Hey Carol. I have an update. Not a great one. We got Elizabeth's MRI back. Shes got frontal cortex damage along with more damage to both sides of her brain…. I've been asked to share a go fund me to everyone I know because this is now going to be months and months of driving to Halifax and caring for Elizabeth's daughter Everleigh as well. I put the link below. We are all feeling pretty defeated right now …”

“The MRI is basically showing that it will take months and months of rehab and therapy with the end goal of full recovery. It's unlikely to be a full recovery but shes young as they keep telling us so they're hopeful. The frontal cortex is the biggest worry…Her anger never really went away which wasn’t her thing before the accident so that's a worry that we are having because Elizabeth is so angry now. Mostly at the people trying to keep her in the hospital and us for not understanding her side. But the injuries themselves, nobody is sure. We are still gathering information. It's like pulling teeth.”

JUL 4 - Aubrey Urquhart.  Aubrey has been diagnosed with bone cancer.  Please pray that he feels God's presence and love in such sweet, comforting ways...

JUL 4-  UPDATE Leona's Request ("Will" from Apr 24).  Will is now at the Stan Cassidy Centre. He is responding to some commands but has not spoken. Kamryn, his wife, is traveling back and forth some days and staying overnight the other days. Please continue to pray for them.

JUN 18 - UPDATE" Adrian".  This young father of 3 small children relapsed into drugs last month.  Thank you for praying!  He went back home on June 3 for detoxing.  Please pray that he surrenders his life fully to Jesus and becomes the man and dad that God wants him to be.

JUN 7 - Jason Beck (Tamara Bodechon's brother-in-law).  Please pray for his wife and sons as they grieve this very sad loss.

Jun 1 - UPDATE Judy Chapman's friend "LJ".  My friend and colleague, LJ, had his back surgery on May 8, 2025.  The surgery was successful and a metal plate was placed in his back.  However, another complication that was not detected previously showed up right after the surgery.  A nerve in his left leg is not functioning properly and he is unable to use the leg at all.  He remains in hospital and requires assistance with basic functions.  Physio is done twice a day, but any result has been slow, minimal and painful.  Being unable to walk or do basic functions has resulted in depression, and thoughts about what the future holds.  At present, LJ is to remain in hospital until at least early July.  Please continue to remember LJ and his family in prayer and wish them strength in dealing with this difficult situation.  Everyone hopes that enough leg function can be regained so that he will be able to walk again.

Jun 1 - UPDATE "Jeremy" (former student of Judy Chapman).  Jeremy has moved back to Moncton and returned to teaching early (as he did not have any more sick time).  As he is still fairly young, his leg will continue to heal.  Asking for prayers for further healing so he can continue his active lifestyle.

May 16 - UPDATE "Patti".  Patti was transferred from Malaga Spain to the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday May 14th via air ambulance.  Her outlook is not promising and doctor is not sure that she will survive. One side of her heart is badly damaged. She has an infection, her kidneys are not working well and she has pneumonia. No more surgeries will be provided to Patti. So it's not looking good for her. Her family is thankful that she is here now and that they can spend time with her. May God do what is best for her and be a comforter and encourager to her family.

May 12 - Pray For Leaders.  We need to pray for all those in authority, so that we may live lives of godliness and holiness (1 Timothy 2:2).  We can ask God's blessing on our elected officials - we can pray that Canada will be a nation that "exalts righteousness" (Proverbs 14:34).

May 5 - KBC Tech Team Recruitment!  Those who run video (slides), sound, and livestream each Sunday morning are essential to our combined worship experience both in person and online.  Some long-time folks need to step away and summer vacations are looming.  We are praying that God will provide new members to join this team - He knows who is right for these positions.

Pray for those who have lost cherished loved ones and other family members:
  • Lori and her entire family, Clark and his family, and Greg Forestell.
Mar 29 - UPDATE Micheals Family.  Landings Law, the firm retained by KBC, has completed the work on the Micheal's family Refugee file and submitted it to the government. The government may find the documentation compelling and accept the family as refugees into Canada. Or they may have additional questions and request a second interview. It may take some time for this process to unfold, so in the meantime we can continue to be in prayer for the family, for the officials who will consider their file, and for us as a congregation as we hope and prepare for their arrival.

Mar 29 - Bobbi Shannon's Aunt.  Ernestine had a transient stroke and is now home.  Please pray for healing and renewed strength. She is 93 next week.  May she feel the Lord's loving presence during this time in a sweet, comforting way.

Feb 20 - Kathy.  Pricilla McQuade's friend has an inoperable brain tumor that is very aggressive.  Please pray that she feels the Lord's presence in a very special way.  That He guides her medical team and care.

Sep 4 - Warren (Karen Nyborg's Partner).  Please continue to pray for Karen Nyborg's family as they adjust to life post-amputation of Warren's leg (below the knee). He was discharged yesterday, a week post-surgery.  They have a lively little girl who is two, plus Karen continues with her work responsibilities.  This is a heavy load, especially in Dubai, where there is no family nearby.
